Looking for Beta Testers

We’re getting closer to the date!

Our community has given us great feedback throughout the entire journey. We want to continue this spirit of feedback by taking it to the next level.

We’re at the final stages of product development and need your help now more than ever before. We are looking for Beta testers.

Beta Applications period has closed.

Now you’re asking, uh what, Beta testers? Isn’t it a keyboard, not a game?

There’s more beyond the keyboard alone. We’re also developing the keyboard firmware and configuration software. We want to make sure that these are more mature in user experience and functionality before mass delivery. That’s where you can play a role as a beta tester.

The beta testers will receive a keyboard from our trial production. This is a small test production that happens before mass-production. These are the same keyboards that we send out for hands-on reviews.

What we expect from a beta tester:

  • An acknowledgment. You’re participating in making the Wooting one better and are willing to put the effort in it by…
  • Honest and critical feedback for the Wooting one firmware and configuration software. No technical knowledge required.
  • Take part on discord to share your thoughts, ideas and feedback with us. This requires a Mic.
  • Willing to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). Meaning you can’t share anything about the keyboard, beta, software and etc without our consent.

If you want to apply as a beta tester you simply have to convince us why you should be picked. Anybody can take part, even if you’re not a Kickstarter backer.

whut

Reach out to us on any of the social channels (Facebook, Discord, Mail, etc.) with something that can convince us that you are the ideal person. You can do this in any form you feel is best.

If you’re talking yourself down for whatever reason. Whatever you lack in knowledge or experience you can compensate with creativity or wits.

To get you started with some creative ideas:

  • Wooting drawings/designs for social banners, T-shirt or other swag
  • A video of why you need a Wooting keyboard
  • Meme’s about the impact of the Wooting one
  • Or simply talk to us

Just make sure to be yourself and do your best to convince us.

You can already start sending things now. After the 14th of August, we’re going to pick a few beta testers. We will privately inform you and ask if you want to stay anonymous or not.

We’re looking forward to your ~~thing!

Wooting,

Calder, Erik, Jeroen.

As a long time sufferer of Arthritis I can not wait to try your product. I can not use Game pads for long due to pain/cramps etc…While I love keyboards the one feature I miss from a game pad is the exact one you are bringing to the keyboard. Analog control. Thanks for bringing this to market.

      Hi Lance,

I can imagine the struggle you have with game pads. Do you have any pain or struggles when gaming on a regular keyboard? I ask this out of interest 😉

I find that most keyboards I use today are boring and lackluster… and I believe the Wooting One can be the new and exciting experience I’ve been looking for.

I think, a good Keyboard and a good Mouse are very important and very underrated by many People. I have used already used different Mechanical Keyboards, now i’m using the G.SKILL km780 for example. It’s great, but something is missing: analog Keys!
Finally someone camo up with this, this is a real step forward.
It would be a honor to me to test your Keyboard.

I would honestly love to mess around with the Wooting One to see whether or not such a keyboard would make much of a difference in my day-to-day activities. When such activities include programming in RAD Studio, MMORPG Gameplay, FPS Gameplay, as well as the usual habit of tiresome writing out emails or documentation.

Personally, I have an avid interest in determining whether a Wooting One would increase proficiency and impact the life of excessive computer users and to figure out if it provides any benefits more so than what has already been mentioned on the Kickstarter page / wooting website.

Other than that; I’d like to believe that such a keyboard would provide the feeling of experiencing something different, unique and fun, which has long been lost in the world. I miss being able to bring home a brand new keyboard and having a completely different experience to the previous one. Finding out all it’s different kinks, flaws and benefits. I don’t seem to find that from anything these days.

I’m sure that the Wooting One would be nothing short of that experience, which is why I would most definitely like to sign-up for becoming a Beta Tester, if not buying one outright upon its release.

I am very hyped for the wooting one since it was firstly announced as I had this dream about making a keyboard that can sense how far I push its buttons and how it affects gameplay in all game genres, similar to how a controller would work except I’ve never liked the idea of controllers as they hold us back form the awesome things we can do with the keyboard and why would we use two products when we could build and perfect something that can achieve the best of the two worlds , I would love to test it though as I am on PC for an average of 12 hours a day and the most thing I touch is the Keyboard so you will have my all feedback including its performance in games (racing and fps, etc) and how the RGB works and overall feedback
Hope you roll me in the beta testing as I’m ready to buy this product ASAP as it’s released

I am rooting for you Wooting!

I hope that you will one day be as big a corsair, or bigger.

One thing I wanted to throw out is that you mentioned that the switching between gaming and typing mode is done by a toggle key, but that you are looking in to a different solution so that it is both modes at the same time. I personally like both ideas, but I think it would be a good idea to keep the physical switch to toggle between modes, where there are 3 modes instead of 2: one for gaming mode, one for typing mode and one for the combined mode. I believe this would improve compatibility with buggy games, like Skyrim for instance.
Skyrim has always been a game that has a lot of really weird bugs and glitches that have no workaround in order to make what you want work, so 3 modes like I mentioned above would probably avoid some major failures.

    Sincerely,
    MrGForce

Well it does not look like I was lucky enough to be a BEAT tester, I look forward to buying one in the not too distant future. Good luck Wooting, great idea and you will be making my next keyboard.

    Love and peace.
